Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco - is a Canadian as well as an American singer/songwriter. She has released over 20 albums of studio work. Her music is classified as folk-rock and alternative rock but has additional influence from hip hop and jazz. Ani diFranco was the first musician to start her own record company in 1990. Ani is widely considered to be a feminist icon. DiFranco was born on the 23rd of September 1970 in the city of Buffalo in New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who was introduced to Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
