Coleman is a native of Blackpool Lancashire. She was educated at Arnold School in Blackpool. In her time as headgirl, she scored straight A marks in her A-Levels. When Coleman was asked about her Emmerdale character, she said that she regrets that she did not have an experience like the traditional one at university. At the time of her schooling, Coleman was part of a theatre company called In Yer Space with whom she performed at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. An award was presented to her for the show, and the production itself received a favorable reception. Coleman was offered the role of Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while auditioning in drama schools in 2005. Coleman received two awards in 2007. In 2007 Coleman was nominated to win two awards: for the British Soap Awards as the Most Popular Newcomer and also the National Television Awards as the Most Popular. For the British Soap Awards of 2009 she was awarded in the categories of Best Actress and Sexiest female, as well as the category for Best acting in a Drama. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on the 21st of March that Coleman was to play Matt Smith as the Doctor's Companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other actors left the show. Moffat has decided to cast her in the role since she seemed to have the most chemistry Smith. Additionally, she was more quickly than he does. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she's been involved in television and film projects. Her most popular role was on the television. Eva has had many TV characters, however her roles as Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children and Detective Natalia Boavistas from CSI Miami have stood out. Eva was nominated for two "Daytime Emmys" for her first part, and she also had a chance explore her artistic talents. Eva is an entrepreneur, as well as an actor. Eva has three husbands, and an infant from the third.
